Syrene

Syrene is an IP Associate with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) and a Masters of Law (LLM) in Intellectual Property and the Digital Economy from the University of Glasgow, where she was part of the team of students which advised the British Library and the British Film Institute on Artificial Intelligence (AI) policies by the UK government.

Called to the Malaysian Bar in 2022, Syrene has prior experience in the intellectual property field through her pupillage in a full-fledged intellectual property law firm and her experience as an Intellectual Property Associate in a top Malaysian law firm. She has handled intellectual property cases ranging from IP contracts and licensing, enforcements and office actions, as well as research and advisory.

As an IP Associate, Syrene is enthusiastic, passionate, and ready to lend her assistance to customers’ intellectual property needs, aiming to deliver current and anticipatory practical and business-centric advice. She endeavours to assist customers to navigate the complexities of the industry with confidence while providing realistic advice, with the aim to ensure that the customers’ business needs and goals are met and their intellectual property protected. She continues to strive to improve and expand her knowledge in the intellectual property field and to provide high-quality advice and assistance, to ensure that customers attain the service they need to protect their intellectual property and their business.

Syrene is fluent in English and Malay.

Outside of work, Syrene enjoys spending time with horses, reading, quality time with friends and family, and self-improvement.
